What is the Understanding Commitment template?
Following a simple traffic light system, the Understand Commitment template encourages you to reflect on what you should stop doing, what you should continue to do, and what you should start doing. The template can be used as part of the personal development process, either by managers setting out development plans for their team members or by an individual who wants to define their own goals. The Understand Commitment template can also be used for reflection following the completion of a project.
Why use the Understanding Commitment template?
When you want to make a behaviour change for lasting effect, it is essential to set realistic goals and hold yourself accountable to these. Ayoa’s Understanding Commitment template requires you to identify an area for development and set necessary actions within this area – whether this is for yourself or a member of your team.
Whether you’re striving for personal or professional development, it’s important to take a step back and assess what’s working well and what needs improving. Following an appraisal or as a retrospective exercise following the completion of a project, you should take time to recognize your successes as well as an area for improvement that you can put into action next time. This will help to ensure that you’re constantly moving towards your goals.
