What are your career goals? Describe where you see yourself in 12 months, and then in five years. This may include promotions to new roles, training targets, or other career aspirations.
What skills are you missing which you will need to acquire in order to achieve your career goals? You may also wish to include relevant training courses or qualifications in this section.
What actions are you going to take to address your skill gaps? Ideally, you should have at least one action per skill. In this section, you may also wish to include other required actions that will help you get to where you want to go, such as researching possible career paths or updating your resume.
Now that you have your development plan in place, it’s time to get to work. Don’t forget to revisit your plan periodically to check your progress and make any necessary changes as you develop.
